trying to keep afloat and paddling madly going nowhere.
Yesterday I swam 11 laps. I stopped at the ends of the pool but didn't
stop during the lap which I had before. Also I find I am moving a
little faster (I beat the OAP beside me who just turned 72 she told
me). Well I have to start somewhere and beating a senior still counts.
I then picked up the little guy and went for a quick walk on the
trail. Two miles and then back in car and went back for a swim. I did
10 laps and much quicker time and even had time for a dip in hot tub
and a decent shower. For someone who really hated exercise this is
like an AHA moment. Now food is just fuel. Not that I don't enjoy the
bite or two but it's an immediate how many calories is that as I have
to burn off it plus burn 3500 calories to go down a pound. While I'm
on a restricted calorie intake some of the loss is just bodies basic
burning of calories doing it's everyday stuff. But to get more loss I
have to move more and I find myself looking for things to do to move
more. That and now i have more energy which is brilliant. Not that I
don't have those mornings where the voice saying stay in bed is so so
much louder than the voice saying get up and workout but I'm starting
to gasp enjoy the walking and the exercise
I might even try that zumba class today. Go me!
