So Wednesday April 14th I got 95% of my stomach taken out. We weren't in love any more and needed to end the unhealthy relationship. Seriously felt that way. I got a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG). It used to be just stage one of a duodenal switch a weight loss surgery. However folks were so successful just on the first stage they never went to stage two. So my stomach still works the same but it's tiny and 2oz at most compared to the normal 60 oz. I think mine was more like 120 oz.
So day two after operation. It's a tool to help me get healthier. Not in a get into skinny Jeans healthy but a I can get off floor and take care of my two babies and myself. I can run around, I can get my socks and shoes on easily. The simple stuff that you don't think about until your morbidly obese
anyway. I'll be posting photos and taking a new journey.
Today a sewing machine arrived and bought some
material. Who knows I could be the Bay Area version of Martha. I don't think she has anything to fear
I started trying to get my protein drinks down and my water
I need 70-80grams protein a day
and 64 oz water
before Wednesday like all normal folks I just drank that water down. No more. I can sip about an 1oz bit of protein or water in 10 mins. I'm doing liquid only and I don't feel hungry. In fact I don't feel like doing water but I have to. I'm doing protein shakes and got a ton of samples from www.vitalady.com so I wouldn't be bored stupid while I did this. Or discover I hated a flavor but have a HUGE arse box of it
hope you enjoy my wee journal and feel free to comment. It's exciting and scary and I hopefully meet new friends on the way
