Holidays

So I weigh myself most mornings. Naked of course because I did enough weight watchers meetings and know to go in as light as possible ;)

I'm still losing but slower and I need to ramp up my activity and keep logging my food. With holidays it's easy to do the bite lick taste that's another couple of
hundred calories. That Ginger biscuit, small chocolate or even the food at work or out with friends around holidays. Now I try and go- well that 3 wee ginger bread is an hour on treadmill or cleaning garage. Do I want to clean garage then eat away and move and groove.

Made me think Out of Box for workouts that aren't typical but burn calories.

Walking with kids at kids zoo was a great workout and great hanging out with friends. That's an easy you don't think of it workout. Carrying the little one at cinema for three hours was a killer on pelvis so not recommending that one again

So scale going down and my aim is to lose another couple pounds before holidays and increase my activity

7 months

7 months on and I'm on track so far for weight loss and health

I saw Dr C this week or Dr Awesome as one of my weight loss buddies calls him. He is kinda that grays anatomy fab hair kinda doc ;) He is very pleased with my progress so far. I'm also doing well with my diet, I track my protein daily still and do supplements to get to my target. My appetite is still small and i shop and cook for us all but I make myself the protein and veggie portion. At work the only hassle is when they bring in lunch for us to keep us working at end of quarters etc but thankfully there's some of the lads also on protein diets so we can band together and they bring in a chicken salad etc so we can also get some free lunch but stay on track ;)

Halloween I did have some fun bar chocolates but I recognized why I was eating them and also for most part planned it and worked it off or adjusted my diet for day. It's part of changes, not only diet but head changes - there's no bad foods - only calories and you plan accordingly. Where as I'd feel guilty and then eat more food and cycle, now trying to identify why and dealing with it and using other activities so not eating out of boredom.

Doc wants me to try and lose 12 pounds for January as weight loss will be a lot slower now so I need to work harder to lose weight

I am off track for the training. That's one area that I need to catch up on. So that's my new mantra - how did I move and groove this week?

See below - my ear is got a big piece of cotton wool from ear surgery and my hair isn't washed but you can see my clothes now getting smaller. I also cleared out more clothes from my closet. I'm going to also drop off to an organization that helps women looking for work clothes for interviews and clothes. I have a lot of good work clothes that could help some women would benefit from them.

Update

Wrote an email to my friend and realized it's an update so I'm recycling ;)

I'm still signed up for race but my sister is not allowed to run recovering still. My sister is an inspiration to me and is saying she'll try and walk the race.

I am still training using the 5k couch to 5k program but didn't do any training with work/kids and surgery last couple weeks. Not excuses just fact and also admission i need to step that up

I had my right ear surgery done today and be out of commission for a week and half. They opened up ear canal and took out scar tissue but no exertion for two weeks they said. So no new metal pieces aka Jamie Summer but that's ok. Hopefully will restore hearing or improve it. I like the new nickname a customer gave me SiBorg :)

At weight loss group last night had plastic surgeons showing us before and after. Was interesting. I dont feel thats in my future for any time soon. They want you a year out and at least 18/24 months out after weight loss surgery. Insurance will pay for hanging skin from tummies and thighs and pulling up breasts if you have rashes etc documented so that's a possibility but not for a couple of years. I'm documenting at docs though so they have that in records.

I'm not as concerned as so far the skins being pretty elastic for me luckily. Also when they talked about breast reduction they chop off nipple on 3 sides and reattach. They do create perky boobs but most women lose sensation in nipple area. Funny how male surgeons didn't see an issue with that just making sure the boobs look perky but all women in room were quite concerned on that. Sure would be an issue if was males losing sensitivity ;)

I'm down 123 pounds now :) saw my doc yesterday and he was very happy with me. Said will slow down for weight loss so I need to be vigilant on food and exercise. So tracking it as good as I can. I have 27 pounds to go. Been an amazing journey. My shape is changing a lot quicker - I went in front to back but now it's also going in on my sides. My hair is also growing back. Slowly but that's great.

I ordered some clothes from online walhuge store. I needed some cheap black trousers for work as my work wardrobe is now getting to point that I don't have enough while my shape changes. All good things but folks know I'm not a go to shop. I love online though so thats all good.

The surgery also was a lot easier today because of my weight loss. Anesthesia burns off quicker, I was able to get on table easier and so much more. The docs also told me they were very proud of my progress. It's a small thing but means a lot when you're used to dreading their feedback!

So recovering and making plans for when i am up and at em. In meantime counting my blessings especially my wonderful hubby who is earning the in sickness and health part

Training

So need to get my arse in gear for training for the race. Did one
training session and then zilch. Sick at moment but there's always an
excuse. So I'm making a plan so I can try and stick to it no matter what

On plus side I'm losing weight and now have 28 pounds aka 2 stone to
go to hit goal. Would love to get there by next April but need to step
it up considerably to do so

So motivating myself and getting a plan together

Also decided I'm going to be a shavee for St Baldwicks next year. Get
my head shaved for charity and raise money for kids cancer hospital
while I'm doing so. Might as well live up to my famous first name
counterpart and make some lemonade from lemons :)

Work

Hair today..gone tomorrow

Got the remaining hair chopped. Super short. Easier under wig but also
it's a bit more presentable on it's own. Still a little bit conscious
of it but after a moment I forget and got some compliments on it. I'd
go peroxide blonde again but would damage the baby hairs growing back.
Hopefully next year will be back again. If not - hello eBay !

Shake it

So today I am offically overweight. Most folks wouldn't celebrate that but I am. It means I am no longer considered obese ! I was super morbid obese, then went to morbid obese, then obese and today I'm overweight. My BMI is under 30! Whoo whoo!

Not breaking put fireworks just yet but also my friend left a suit in my house when she moved back to UK. I tried it on and it fits! Bit tight but not I had to lay down to get on trousers etc but a bit more fitted than I like or used to

It's a UK size 14 so a USA size 12

That's just amazing to me

I've literally gone half a person from what I wa fitting into (at top preggers was size 32)

And I did have some Halloween candy but I walked 6 miles Sunday and 5 miles Saturday with all that was going on.

So it's my day of freedom today. The day that I can say proudly - me I'm just a regular fatty
