Energy

I was bringing boxes and clearing cupboards and closets this weekend. Oh and 7 hour clean in garage. I was on a roll! I've so much more energy and sure when I lifted 20 pound weights for holding down a canopy into outside shed, I thought wait a minute. I've lost nearly 7 and half of these. Imagine carrying a 150 pound person around all day. It's exhausting. Mentally and physically. We went to kids zoo all this morning and afterwards I came home and went on a cleaning rampage. That's the energy I want for my life.

Good day

So at work. Beach week so went in with my red hair. Also saw Dr C at his office and he's very happy with me. I'm at goal but still trying to lose about 3-5 pounds just for maintenance. However as he pointed out that's probably skin at moment and if I ever do plastics that would have me down 5-15 pounds depending on what they do. Im not considering it. (and of course that made me think aha! My comment of if I could just zip off my arse all would be grand!)

Happy as I am though and not looking get plastic surgery and lucky that my excess skin is more around top thighs and some under arm/boob area. So unless I start dressing in speedos and wife beaters I'm ok ;) I got so much more energy.

Went to support group this evening and great group. It's good to go as I know 2nd year is hard too to make sure you keep it off. That's my goal this year and I'm looking forward to the adventures ahead

How low can you go

So I'm lowest I've been since well since 1993 when weight w folks made me take my jeans off to weigh me at a meeting for me to hit 'goal'. Yeah, too funny. That was also when I thought I was overweight as I was 30 pounds over a goal weight they set me. I'm laughing now but this operation was a fantastic tool for me to get right habits down. Do I tell folks I had it? Not the folks who don't me, still feels kind of strange and I share with other folks seeking info who are also morbid obese and have done the diet dance but not with everyone who just knows me. I don't feel I have to as yes it was the catalyst and the biggest help to my loss but every day, I'm working this tool. I am still on very restricted food plan as I balance that daily with my exercise. So if I don't work out much in a week - then I don't have that cash to spend! It's also been hand in hand with my reducing of my debt and my budgeting. At some point you pay the piper, so if I don't have the money- I don't spend it and also do I really need it ? Same with the food. It's a fuel now than this recreational activity! So I brought in my exercise gear to work and I'm reactivating our swim club as I should be ok now to start swimming again. I also want to get my kids into swimming as it's a great sport and especially in warm hot days, perfect!

Holiday

Just back from holiday and had a brilliant time. It could be quite challenging on a cruise ship keeping to lower calories and I tracked everything and also carried the wee guy on my back everywhere. Went up a few pounds but down already from holding off the drinks. Alcohol is grand occasionally but it was more of a daily thing when away and the beer and wine are not just empty calories but also you tend to eat more with less control. I was on holiday so I didn't go mad with being super strict but I also allowed myself the drinks. I did find it easier though not to eat lots of yummy food that I normally would have so the 2 pounds normally on holiday would have been 10 pounds and down one already from just more water and gardening and cleaning at weekend. Also I kept track so I knew how much protein I was eating and how many calories as well. Here's back at work and felt very nice although the shoes were ones I wouldn't stand around a lot in. I've also scheduled myself now to work out during week so will also be tracking that. I'd like to put on some more muscle and tone up where I can
